Zip code and address format lookup:  https://tools.usps.com/go/ZipLookupAction!input.action

  • The US Postal Service reads addresses from bottom to top and right to left.
  • Do not use punctuation, except for the hyphen in the ZIP+4 code.
  • Use common abbreviations for streets and highways (see Appendix C, USPS Postal Addressing standards pub28).
  • The pound sign (#) should not be used as a secondary unit designator if the designation is known, such as Apt or Ste.  If a pound sign is used, it should have a space between the sign and the secondary number.
  • Add apartment and suite numbers on the same line as the street address.
