To opt in to “New Quizzes” on Canvas, follow these steps.

 

1. For every course in which you wish to use “New Quizzes,” navigate to “Settings” and then select “Feature Options.”

 

 

2. In “feature options,” ensure that “New Quizzes” is enabled. You can click the red “x” under “state” to enable “New Quizzes.” It will show a green check when enabled.

 

3. To verify that “New Quizzes” is enabled, go to “Quizzes” in the navigation column and then select “+ Quiz” on the “Quizzes” page.

 

4. Choose which type of quiz you would like create.

 

Alternatively, you may navigate to “assignments” and change the “submission type” to “external tool.”

When prompted, click “find” to select “Quizzes 2” as an external tool in the assignment settings.

 

 

 

While using “New Quizzes,” you will be able to set up points, the assignment group, and due dates as normal. However, to create/edit questions, you will select “Build” to enter the “New Quizzes” tool.
