Help Menu
Click the Help option in the top menu bar and select Help Topics.
The online help provides several options for finding assistance.
- Click the icon for your module of choice
Click the Show link in the upper left to view a list of topics for that module.
Click the '+' next to a topic to expand the category.
- Expand topics of interest in the Contents on the left. Drill down to find your specific topic.
- Click the Search button at the top, type in a word or phrase in the search box, and hit Enter.
You should see a list of topics containing the word or phrase.
Click on a topic to see the related Help information.
Keyboard Shortcuts
F1
When you need help on a specific function window in J1, just press the F1 function key on your keyboard.
For example, if you have the Name Entity window open
and you want help with this window, press F1 on your keyboard.
The Help window opens to the Name Entity topic.
F2
If you need help on a specific field within a window, make sure your cursor is in the field. Then press the F2 function key on your keyboard.
For example, if you are in the Name Entity window and want help information on the E-mail field, make sure your cursor is in the E-mail field, then press F2.
The Help window will open on the topic of the E-mail address.
NOTE: not all fields will have Help information.
Jenzabar Listservs
Join a Jenzabar listserv related to your module.
Go to lists.jenzabar.net and click the Get Password link to set up an account.
Once you set up your credentials, you can log in and subscribe to various lists. Look for those that start with EX-, ICS-, INFOMAKER-, or POWERFAIDS-. The -A lists are for announcements, and the -L lists are for discussions. You will need to subscribe to each list that interests you. Once subscribed you can search the list for topics that other users have posted, or you can post a question for other users’ assistance.
The listserv is very helpful for finding problem resolutions or process advice.
MyJenzabar.net
The website, www.myjenzabar.net is Jenzabar’s client support site. On the main page click the ‘Request an account’ link on the right to obtain a site account. Once you receive confirmation of your new account you can begin using the site.
Learning & Development tab
Go to the Learning & Development tab to find online courses for each module.
Once in the Learning site, you can select a catalog of courses. Choose J1 to find courses about Jenzabar One. Most courses are E-Learning courses, which are ‘go at your own pace’ online courses. You can preview the content and immediately enroll in the course. You will usually have about 3 months to complete the course. Once you have completed the course and passed the quiz at the end, you will be certified to contact Support for assistance with that module.
All E-Learning courses are free. You may see some courses with a $ price tag. These courses are live webinars with a cost and must be approved by your supervisor before you can register.
Support tab
The Support tab in MyJenzabar is grouped by product. You can find module-related information under the Jenzabar One section. Look for the Module Resource Center. Within the Module Resource Center, you will find sections on J1 Desktop and J1 Web, where you can drill down further by module topic.
Events tab
The Events tab contains recorded webinars along with past JAM conference PowerPoint presentations and Regional User Group presentations. Within Events, select Jenzabar Solution Webinars for recorded webinars and their related PowerPoint files. You can also select a specific JAM year and filter presentations based on topic. Or you can select SCRUG for a South Central RUG presentation.
