Digitally Sign documents when on campus computers

In continuance of reducing Schreiner’s environmental impact, Human Resources has started enabling their forms to be digitally signed.  Schreiner Technology has created a simple way to obtain and use a digital signature on Adobe forms.

Example steps:

Download the Payroll Change Notice from Schreiner One

Once saved on the computer, you will need to open the document in Adobe Acrobat. In this example we had to right click because Acrobat is not the default PDF viewer.

Fill out the form.  Once you have finished, select the appropriate signature box on the form.

Select the digital ID issued by schreinercampus-CAMPUSDC2-CA. This will ensure that HR is able to verify the signature.  If you have other signatures that are not issued by CAMPUSDC2, ignore them.

You example signature will be shown.

Click Sign.

Rename the document now that it is signed and click save.

Your signature will now show.

The signature should show as VALID if you click on it.

If you click on Signature Properties, you get more information.

If you Show Signer’s Certificate, you will get more information on the signature. Notice the Issued by field says CAMPUSDC2.

Congratulations! You have now signed and validated a Digital Signature.
